TECHNICAL DIRECTOR AND HEAD COACH 18U HAWKS & 13/14U RAPTORS
Anwar Diouman
Anwar Diouman, Advanced Performance Coach (NCCP Level 3), hails from Mauritius where he coached
various Men’s & Women’s club and National Teams to international success, notably winning a GOLD
MEDAL at the African Continental Championship in 1996 and a 13th place in the 1997 WORLD JUNIOR
CHAMPIONSHIP. Anwar is also a Level 2 FIVB Coach. Since joining T-WEST in 2009, Anwar’s teams have
experienced much success: 17U Boys Provincial PREMIER Champions in 2010 and TWEST 18U Girls to
Division 1, Tier 2 Bronze in 2013. Anwar is a source of guidance & support to all our coaches and teams.
HEAD COACH - BEACH PROGRAM AND GOLDEN EAGLES
Ed Turlinski
Ed has been with T-WEST since the very early 2000’s bringing to T-WEST a wealth of experience and volleyball
knowledge. Ed is a certified Advanced Development Coach (Level 2 NCCP) and looks back on a long and
successful career of coaching both Beach Volleyball and Indoor Boys. Ed has coached many teams at the
highest levels, winning Gold Medals at both Provincial and National Championships. Ed has also been very
active in the OVA as Coach Evaluator and Regional Executive.

DIRECTOR, PROGRAM COORDINATOR & COACH - CONDORS
John Long
This season, John assists Coach Anwar with the 14U RAPTORS and coaches the 14U CONDORS. In addition to
his role as the President of T-WEST, John serves as the Program Coordinator and chief Administrator. John is
a certified Advanced Development Coach (Level 2 NCCP) and a Gymnastics Development Coach. He also has
Development Coaching Certification from the Swiss Volleyball Federation. John founded the Toronto West
Volleyball Club in 1969.

ASSISTANT OPERATIONAL MANAGER & HEAD COACH - FALCONS
Byron Long
Byron is working this season to complete his Advanced Development Coaching Certification (Level 2 NCCP).
Byron has also completed his Advanced Certification in Cheerleading and Level 1 Trampoline. Byron has a
long history with Toronto West, having competed on numerous Provincial Championship teams from 2003
until 2007. After serving an Assistant Coach since 2007, Byron assumed his own team as Head Coach in 2015.
Byron’s outstanding coaching skills also make him an asset to other teams as a specialist trainer.
HEAD COACH 17U TALONS
Marko Milenkovic
This season, Marko is completing his Advanced Development Coaching Certification (Level 2 NCCP). Marko is
a fellow Toronto West alumnus, having graduated back in 2014. Marko brings a wealth of playing experience
and game knowledge to the club from his years as a member of the Ryerson Rams Men’s Volleyball program.
His energetic and enthusiastic work with the TALONS is very much appreciated and respected.

HEAD COACH - IMPERIALS
Sierra Archee
Sierra got her volleyball roots with Toronto West in the early 2010’s. The highlight of her playing career was
competing in Las Vegas in 2014 at 18U under Coach Anwar when she was also awarded Most Spirited. After
graduating from university, Sierra assisted Byron and the original FALCONS until 2020. Following the
completion of her MA studies, Sierra accepted the position of Head Coach of the 14U IMPERIALS in 2021. Her
keen spirit and solid understanding of the sport make her an asset to the club!
Casandra Reyes-Morales
ASSISTANT COACH - IMPERIALS
Casandra is a 2020 graduate from Coach Byron’s FALCONS where, over five seasons, she learned the ins &
outs of the game, but also developed a passion for interacting with the people that make up T-WEST. Casandra is a tireless and skilled supporter of Sierra and the IMPERIALS. Casandra is also a most valued member of the coaching staff as she is always ready to assist where needed.
Samuel Girouard
ASSISTANT COACH – GOLDEN EAGLES
Samuel is a graduate of Coach Ed’s 2020 Golden Eagles who has returned to assist his former coach while
taking a year off from studies at Guelph U. where he hopes to make the Varsity Volleyball team in 2023.
Sam’s five years under Coach Ed have taught him the ins & outs of volleyball which he now puts to good use
helping develop the young players of GOLDEN EAGLES 2.0.
Taylor Pracek
ASSISTANT - COACH HAWKS
Taylor found her volleyball roots with Toronto West in the early 2010’s. The highlight of her playing career
was competing in Las Vegas in 2014 under Coach Anwar. After graduating from Guelph University in 2018,
Taylor has returned to Toronto West, first as HAWKS Assistant Coach and then supporting the WINGS since
2019.

Antonia Bonaldi
Toni is a 2020 graduate from Coach Byron’s FALCONS where, over five seasons, she learned the ins & outs of the game, but also developed a passion for interacting with the people that make up T-WEST. Toni is
presently a student at Toronto Metropolitan University but finds the time to assist her previous coach with
the FALCONS. Toni has been most successful in managing, teaching and relating to her young athletes to the
point where she bench coached the team to a GOLD MEDAL in the 2022 Provincial Championships!
ASSISTANT COACH - HAWKS
Claire Lesniak
Claire joined T-WEST as an assistant Coach in 2012. Following her teacher training, Claire returned to T-WEST
where she presently supports Coach Anwar and the HAWKS. Claire’s excellent coaching skills can be
attributed to her extensive playing experience as well as her teacher training. She is passionate about
developing young athletes to have a successful volleyball career. We look forward to Claire assuming her own
team in the future!
ASSISTANT COACH - TALONS
Mark Esteireiro
Mark has many years of volleyball experience both on and off the court. This is his 4th season coaching with T-WEST. Mark supports Marko and the TALONS with fine spirit and superb administrative skill. Mark has
played setter and libero for Michael Power which allowed him to gain a keen understanding of the sport. We
look forward to when Mark will assume his own team in the future!
